How NFC integration works

Every multifunctional gadget is equipped at the factory with an NTAG215 chip, which offers 504 bytes of memory and is compatible with all modern smartphones. On iPhones from model XS and Android devices from version 8.0 onwards, no app needs to be opened. The smartphone automatically recognises the chip as soon as it is held within a maximum of 2 centimetres of the gadget. Chip placement varies by product type: in the centre of the top for the charging pad, on the front face of the USB hub, in the base of the LED lamp and on the top edge of the Bluetooth speaker.

The stored URL can be changed at any time via the Smart Giveaway dashboard, without the recipient being affected or the gadget having to be sent in. You might start with a trade-fair landing page, switch to a product overview after the event, and later point to a Christmas campaign. This dynamic control extends the lifecycle of each individual gadget to 2 to 4 years. In addition, you receive a CSV export function per campaign with all tap data, ready for your CRM or your marketing automation.

Personalisation and branding

Two industrial finishing processes are available. Laser engraving is suitable for aluminium casings and produces permanent, abrasion-resistant branding with the finest detail sharpness down to 0.2 millimetres. The result is an elegant, monochrome logo that shows no signs of wear even after years of daily use. UV printing is applied to ABS plastic and wood-look surfaces and enables full-colour CMYK branding including gradients, photos and complex brand logos. The print resolution is 1440 dpi, scratch-resistant and UV-stable.

Each gadget can additionally be delivered with an individual landing-page URL, customer-specific NFC behaviour and personalised packaging. On request, we create a microsite in your corporate design, which opens automatically on tap. Standard colour options are black, silver, white and natural wood. Pantone special colours are possible from 250 units, with approval via a digital proof within 2 working days. You submit graphic data in PDF, AI or SVG format, and our graphics team checks the print data free of charge and delivers a binding layout for approval.

Ordering and delivery

The minimum order quantity is 100 units per model, with mixed orders across several gadget types possible from a total quantity of 250 units. The tiered price starts at CHF 12.00 per unit for basic USB hubs from 500 units and rises to CHF 38.00 for premium aluminium wireless charging pads at 100 units. All prices are net ex Swiss warehouse, including branding and NFC programming. Production begins after approval of the print data, with the print job going to manufacturing within 24 hours.

The standard delivery time is 10 to 14 working days from print approval, and express production within 5 working days can be booked at a surcharge. Delivery is free of shipping charges throughout Switzerland and Liechtenstein via Swiss Post or DPD, while international shipments to EU countries are handled as DDP deliveries. Every order undergoes a 100 percent functional test before shipping. We test every NFC chip for readability, every charging process for efficiency and every USB port for data transmission.
